Film Poster Research - Two Brothers

Two Brothers poster.jpg Two Brothers

The reason I chose this particular film poster is because the film relates to themes of my film. Such as Reuniting, brothers and separation.

“The Brothers” is about two tigers that are separated as cubs and taken into captivity, only to be reunited years later as enemies by an explorer (Pearce) who inadvertently forces them to fight each other.

The main colours used in the poster are blue and green. These colours could connate themes such as “earthy”, vibrant and naturalistic. The main figures used in the poster are the two cubs displayed. The main figures in the background are beautiful and elegant looking landmarks surrounded by a nice reflection of the sky onto a lake. In the background there also 2 people preferably a dad and his daughter. These characters suggest to me they will play a major role in either helping or hurting these innocent looking Tiger cubs. This poster has been represented graphically in a way that it feels like it has been painted even though it looks very much photographically and realistic.
I would say that the messages shown through this particular poster are shown primarily visual due to the extravagant tale of colours and subtle images in the background. I personally think the intended audience for this poster is for children of the age of 7+. I say this due to the bright colours shown in the poster which would seem appealing to the younger audience. Also because children of the tender age of 7-12 show a lot of interest towards animals and insects, and in this case tigers seem to be the main animals in the film. The use of tigers appearing in this film will automatically engage with the younger audience because we all know the superior characteristics and attributes tigers have such as being primary predators all the time and because of the way they hunt their prey.

Film Poster Research - The Best Man Holiday

The Best Man Holiday

The reason I chose this particular film poster is because the film relates to certain themes of my film. For example one of the main themes in my film is reunion and this film deals with characters reuniting together. The Best Man Holiday is about college friends who reunite after 15 years over the Christmas holidays, where they will discover just how easy it is for long-forgotten rivalries and romances to be ignited.

The main colours used in this poster are red and black. This could suggest themes such as love, romance and warm feeling vibe. In this poster it is easy to suggest that the film is about love and romance, this is shown through relationship of characters shown in the poster. For example, in the poster there are a list of character preferably male and female kissing, flirting, cuddling and showing strong eye contact. The main figures/object in this poster is the characters. These are shown photographically. Visually shown through the poster I believe the intended audience are male and females preferably aged between 28-40. The reason I have chosen these selected age groups is because I have thoroughly analysed the poster and the majority of the characters shown differ in ages.
